Our Madrasa
Al Muwatta Institute Madrasa offers Islamic education to students ages 5 to 14, with the goal of preparing them for both this life and the hereafter. Our comprehensive curriculum emphasises the importance of taking responsibility for one's actions and awareness of the accountability that follows in the world to come.

Our Subjects
Al Muwatta Institute Madrasa offers a range of subjects
Quran
To confidently recite the Quran correctly with the rules of Tajweed, Makharij and Wuqoof.
Tajweed
To be able to understand and apply rules that are necessary, to fulfil the rights of the Quran during Hafz recitation.
Memorisation
To memorise Surah's and selected verses to support the 5 daily prayer's and help understand Tawhid, Risalah and Akhirah.
Islamic Studies
To understand the basics of Islam and the role of a Muslim towards Allah and His Prophet.
Fiqh
To learn rules relating to Salah, Zakah, Sawm and Hajj based on the teachings of the Quran and the traditions of the Prophet
Quranic Arabic
To learn selected words to be able to understand some of the verses from the Quran
Practical Salah
To be able to perform the 5 daily prayers independently and incongrigation. Children are also introduced to Jummuah, Eid and Janaza prayers
